Why Go: Altan Pizza is a dive pizza shop with a secret treasure. Wedged between a cafe and a sandwich joint on a small corner of John F. Kennedy Street and Tunali Hilmi, this unassuming restaurant seats barely 20 people between its indoor area and patio. And yet, the owner Altan is truly a master of his craft, having studied the art of pizza in Italy and Germany. Get a fabulous thin crust for 10 TL, with a free cookie included, and then take it to a local park for a picnic.
