Why Go: For the nature lovers. Eymir Lake sits several miles outside the city centre and is beloved of local hikers and bikers. The lake is owned and maintained by Middle East Technical University, and has numerous hiking and biking trails winding around the lake and through the surrounding forest. Bikes are available for rent, and the trail around the lake has several picnic spots and food stalls for the hungry. Public access is free.
