Why Go: This historic Turkish bath doesn\'t look like much from the outside, but the marbled steam rooms of this hamam, which has been open since 1440 and is still used by locals, are more authentic than what the more touristic options in Antalya or Istanbul offer. Karacabey Hamam is located just opposite the clocktower in Hamamonu, close to Ulus or Kizilay. Bring a swimsuit and towel, and the staff will take care of the rest. You can provide your own soap or buy it there, although at 25 TL for a full service bath and massage, extra soap probably won\'t bust the wallet. The hamam has separate facilities for men and women and provides hair styling and nail care for an additional charge. The staff doesn\'t speak English, but they welcome foreigners and provide excellent service nonetheless.
