Why Go: One of the oldest churches in Germany, this church was damaged extensively during the two world wars and then rebuilt. Recognisable symbols of this church are the 132 m high baroque spire and the statue of St. Michael conquering the devil. The church is especially significant for music aficionados because it is the resting place of famous musicians Bach and Mattheson.
