The Mehtab Bagh or Moonlight Garden was the last of eleven Mughal-built gardens along the Yamuna opposite the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. The garden was lost under the mud but re-excavated in the 1990s. Recent archaeological excavations have unearthed an octagonal tank which has 25 fountains and a bardari on the east. The garden is a hotspot because it is located parallel to the majestic Taj Mahal. The garden is also called as the Moonlight garden as it gives a splendid view of the Taj in the moonlit nights.

Situated on the out skirts of the Agra City, Sikandra is the mausoleum of Akbar. Akbar was the greatest of the Mughal emperors, great patron of the arts, literature, philosophy and science, and one of the most secular royalties of his time. Akbar started building his own mausoleum which is a unique blend of Hindu, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, Jain architectural styles. It was completed by his son Jahangir. The decoration on the gateways is strikingly bold, with large mosaic patterns set into it. Built of red sandstone, the minarets are inlaid with white marble polygonal patterns.

Agra Fort is s a UNESCO World Heritage site and is also commonly known as Red Fort of Agra. It is about 2.5 km northwest of the renowned mausoleum, the Taj Mahal. The construction of this massive red-sandstone fort was started by Akbar, primarily as a military structure to protect the city from invasions. His grandson Shah Jahan transformed it into a palace using white marble. Ironically, this fort became his gilded prison for eight years, where his son Aurangzeb kept him captive. It houses many other beautiful, exquisite structures of great historical significance. Sheesh Mahal (meaning Glass Palce), Anguri Bagh, Mina masjid, The Diwan-i-Aam and The Diwan-i-Khaas are few such structures inside the fort. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\n
