Why Go: Two miles from a trailhead near the top of the ski valley, Williams Lake is the midpoint between the beginning and end of the Wheeler Peak trail. The lake is nestled at the bottom of a cove of mountains often covered in snow, making for a beautiful natural mix of greens, browns, blues and whites in this can't midd spot. Explore a little and you might just find the waterfall hidden in the trees.
