Why Go: One of the more interesting experiences is Ankara is walking through a city full of life, turning a corner and stumbling upon an archaeological excavation site on the side of the road! Just down the hill from the citadel, archaeologists are busy uncovering the remains of a Roman theater. Visitors can\'t enter the site yet, but it is along the side of a main road where the stage and backstage areas are easily visible, as are the archaeologists hard at work digging out the seating areas.
