Why Go: One can grow an awful lot in 800 years if you are a tree and the Big Tree in the Tsitsikamma Forest near Knysna is proof of that. This Yellowwood stands 36.6 meters (120 ft) high and has a circumference of 9 metres (30 feet) at the base of its trunk. It is believed to be between 600 and 800 years old.
