Why Go: For those of you not from the south, the Waffle House is an institution. Where else can you get a meal and a cup of coffee 24/7/365? (Seriously, the waffles are to die for and the hashbrowns are great scattered, smothered, and covered.) The museum is at the site of the original Waffle House and is filled with memorabilia. Today, there are more than 1700 restaurants, but nothing can beat the first one. You have to schedule tours ahead of time so be sure to call!
