Why Go: Amber Palace Museum is one of the prominent tourist attractions. It is located inside the Amber Palace, which was once the residence of royal Rajput family. The royal artefacts displayed inside this museum reflects Rajasthani and Mughal culture and architecture. It is also known for its wide collection of coins, puppets, photographs of royal family members and other important events that took place over the years. There is also a separate arsenal wing inside this museum that houses different types of weapons such as swords, shields, guns, muskets and a 50 kg mortar ball. This museum also has collection of jewellery and artworks of locals living in Amber. Tourists can see antiques, rosaries, modern Lithuanian Amber artworks and decorative boxes that date back to 15th century or 16th century at this museum.
