Why Go: Just up the street from Ulus Square, a sunken Roman Road leads to the Column of Julian, built in 362 AD to honor the Roman Emperor Julian the Apostate as he passed through Ankara. The column is 15 meters high and stands in the middle of the road. For history buffs on the way to the Roman baths or the castle, this is worth stopping by.
