Why Go: Monreale is a small city near Palermo. In this medieval city the last Norman King Guglielmo II built his beautiful cathedral where worked arab, bizantine and roman artisans, artists and sculptores. The interior of this cathedral is totally covered by byzantine mosaics and near this monument we can also visit a wonderful benedictine cluster characterized by different columns and Romanesque capitels!
